[...] The RØDE VideoMic has since its launch last year become the industry standard for on-camera mics. Many customers asked if RODE could offer the same sound quality as the original VideoMic, but in a stereo format microphone. The result is the RØDE SVM.RODE decided not to produce a stereo shotgun, & instead worked heavily on designing the transducers used to provide a high level of rear rejection and tight pattern control with a smooth and wide response. Fitted with a shoe mount, the SVM has the same low noise circuit design as the VM. The SVM offers 9V battery operation, an LED battery status indicator, a high pass filter switch & a -10dB pad switch which allows for the mic to be used on most cameras with perfect level control.
