Jan 9, 2008 at 4:51 pm in lighting gear, location sound gear by duncan

A light stand and a boom, all in one!!!

The Boom Stand is a 3 riser compact stand that can be rapidly converted into a stand with boom arm.

The pivoting collar on the stand allows the top two extensions to be tilted for use as a telescopic boom arm.

Attachment: 5/8″ receiver and 5/8″ stud with 1/4-20″ and 3/8″ threaded tips.

Comes with Empty Sand Bag counterweight.

Availability: Usually ships same/next day

Price: $173

Photoflex Rock Steady Counterweight Bag

Incredibly versatile, Photoflex’s new RockSteady Bag can be stored and transported empty, then filled with sand or other ballast to the exact weight needed. When filled, the bag is ideal for stabilizing LiteStands and counter-balancing boom arms.

The saddlebag design is great for securely stabilizing light stands. Heavy duty material and double-stitch seams provide strength, durability, and impact resistance. Double-opposing zippers ensures containment of ballast.

· Filled Max. Weight – 22 lbs. (sand)(9.98kg)
· Empty Weight – Less than 1 lb.(453gm).

Availability: Usually ships same/next day

Price: $22.95

Can it be used as a light stand and mic stand at the same time over the talent? Can the mic and the light be attached at the same time to this stand?
