    Hi,

Im kinda desperate right now and running out of options. I just recorded a video using my Happauge HD DVR on a windows PC. I transfered the files to a USB key to put them in my Mac. For some reason FCP 7 keeps giving me this message every time I try importing the video: 1 recognized 0 access denied 1 unknown. Im not sure that the issue is. My files are MP4 codec H.264, AAC. I exported them from quicktime to .MOV and I still keep getting the same message, I even tried 4MV format and FCP keeps triggering the same message. I simply can import these files into FCP7 oddly enough one of them did actually import once I exported it as 4MV but the rest didnt work just that particular one that shares the exact same properties than everything else.

    Help?

I just noticed that only my shorter video(11 minutes long) manages to import once exported to .MOV my other two videos(15 minutes and 34 minutes long) cant be imported once I do the exact same thing. Do you guys think the video duration may have something to do with this? Everything else is the exact same in all these 3 files.

Can you post a screen snap of the Get Info window in QT Player?

Can you check permissions on the files?

You may need to rewrap the files, are you editing them? You may want to transcode them to an edit-friendly format.
