    I am working in HDV standard, using SONY HVR 270 and Z7. Importing tapes – no problem. But using the Campact Flash Card of these cameras, which I do like very much, it is not possible to import the material. Has anybody any idea, what do to?

    Hi Josh,
    No I cannot see the files. Nothing FCP X is not recognizing the card reader at all.I’ve been trying for weeks now – noch chance. I have m2t files, which is the output standard of SONY material from hard disk and cf-cards.
    It is really a pity, because i do like the tapeless workflow.

    Do you have FCP7? You could try Log and Transfer there, or try Voltaic.

    Thanks Josh, yes, you are right, in FCP 7 it is no problem. But I would like to work with FCP X! :(

    You could use FCP7 to import, then edit in FCPX…

    Don’t try to get FCPX to see the cards. Copy the entire contents of the card (the entire file structure…EVERYTHING) to your media drive and then open it as a camera archive inside FCPX. It’ll all be there.
