I would recommend taking another look at iDVD, it’s probably your best bet. You can create your own menus if you don’t like the ones that come with it.

What capture settings did you use? HDV 29.97? Check the format of your clips with Cmd 9.

And what sequence setting did you use? Check that format with Cmd 0 (zero).

Try the Windows menu, do you see the Tool Palette?

I actually CAN resize the windows…but I miss those icons…
