    I have a sequence exported from final cut express (dvpal). On my Macbook the sequence plays perfectly well via Quicktime, on my iMac the sequence plays with interpolated (blended) images across the cuts, again via Quicktime.

    Is anybody able to explain why this is happening?? Which one should I trust as being the ‘correct file’… It makes no sense!?

    So you are saying the same movie file plays differently on the two computers?

    What if you line up the players to exactly the same frame?

    Also, how do you have Quicktime Player set up? There are some options, like deinterlacing on the fly, perhaps one is set to this.

    How do the movies look played in VLC or MPlayer?
