DVD Studio Pro → Forum → Are they still making DVDSP?

    is this program still available as a stand-alone or have they scrapped this along with FCP Legacy, etc…if it isn’t what are my options for dvd authoring outside of iDVD?

    DVDSP is no longer available. Adobe Encore is probably the most appropriate suggestion for advanced DVD authoring.

    weird…any inside info on wether apple is working on anything? DVDSPX?
    (….can encore be bought by itself? I thought it was bundled with CS5 or something?)

    No, Apple is not going to do anything to replace it. Apple has gotten on this kick of trying to change the world by trying to eliminate disks altogether. Not going to work though. They’ve never supported Blu-Ray at all. And getting rid of DVD studio is another step in that direction.

    Good point, I hadn’t thought about that…I actually think they might be right to some degree, but maybe 10 years too early to totally eliminate the idea of DVD’s (especially since doing something like, say a wedding video, is usually desired on a DVD as opposed to a flash drive or an iCloud account)
