    I would say no. Only 17% of households have Blu Ray players and the rest do not plan to purchase one. Blu Ray will be known as “the format that never was”.

    There are better alternatives to delivering HD video to consumers and businesses.

    Yes, you’re right, the biggest trend in media over the next two years will be the disappearance of the DVD, very similar to the disappearance of the audio CD several years ago.

    Delivering your HD content via a platform like MOD Machine will reach three times more viewers than Blu Ray disc – plus save an ungodly amount of money and trouble for the publisher. (Not to mention instant delivery and instant access for the consumer.)
