A place to discuss the world’s best web video encoding and publishing software!
I noticed recently that when I used an old friend VisualHub to convert my EX1r’s SD .avi files into .dv files for Final Cut Pro, the width dimension changes a bit. The .dv files are not quite the same – the horizontal dimension is less than the original .avi files. DI wondered if DV Kitchen might do a better job transcoding from .avi to .dv or .mov? Does this ring any bells for anyone?
Try MPEG Streamclip it works great for me and it is free.
MPEG Streamclip is great, also, I would not convert to .dv files since you are losing a lot of quality… instead, try Pro Res.
