Deadly resolution issue. I used 2 T2i backup when my D7 was smashed on an assignment.

I imported the T2i video the data shows a frame size of 1280×720
When I loaded the video on the FinalCut time line I got a ” do you want to conform the track to the clip” message. I said yes.
Now the the output video track show 1920×1080 and the resolution…[Read more]

Josh, There was a tip you posted elsewhere about checking the timeline by selecting and then Command zero. I did that and it showed a frame size discrepancy. Fixing that seemed to instantly improve some of the sequences but not all. The sequences that are not improving show a “yellow-proxy” indicating a rendering or (some) were rendered…[Read more]

When you say ”the data shows a frame size of 1280×720”, where di you see that?

Check out this Coke spec commercial, created by some friends of mine and shot entirely on the T2i. It was a blast to watch this being made!

I have a Manhattan 7″ LCD that looks fine but it is a bit heavier then some and Im looking for a more robust mount for it. I already have one like this ……… http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/3 … _Shoe.html But its not robust enough to hold the display in place. I realized I may have to get [...]

It’s really sharp … and I don’t know how you can get this much quality on Youtube. I’m confounded…. It seems that digital video should have started at the stills camera level and worked its way up to movie cameras. $100k cameras can’t compete at this level of sharpness and color. Well, congratulations for discovering [...]

Here’s a music video I shot on the canon t2i, still amazed this is an $800 camera. Love to hear comments. Getting ready to shoot another one this month, and would like it to be as good as possible…

1-Learn to focus manually. 2- If your camera allows, use manual exposure settings when shooting video because exposures will change as you pan the camera. 3- A good shutter speed for video is 1/50th second. That’s the “classic sweet spot”. 4- Set the ISO to 200 (ideal) – 1600 max. 5- Aperture setting of F/5.6 [...]
