This is a great program for creating quick and detailed animations of characters right out of the box. Excellent for character stills and animation, medical illustrations, architectural, and storyboards.
In my case, having only dabbled a bit in the Poser of the past, but now, after seeing and using Poser 7, I am now convinced that this is the best program to quickly create and animate the human figure. You also have access to numerous animal figures and even robots. And [read more →]

We just finished a shoot with noted cinematographer and camera operator, Charles Papert, for an as-yet-secret project, with the Canon XL H1.

Here is a packet of freebie FX from the DVcreatorsFX labs… a snowy blizzard!
Just add a windy sound effect from Soundtrack Pro and you’ll want to huddle around the fire.
These animations are each a minute long and include an alpha channel so you can drag it right into Final Cut Pro (or Motion) over your video to add swirling snowflakes to any scene.
They utilize OpenGL and CoreVideo so they play in real time on most recent systems!
